NFL Betting tips: Super Bowl champions host struggling Broncos
We have a division matchup on Thursday night football this week as the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium. It is always exciting to see teams from the AFC West going toe to toe, and many people enjoy these games, including global pop star Taylor Swift, who will be attending the game once again.
Kansas City has had a solid start to the season with a record of 4-1, with the last win coming against a struggling Minnesota Vikings team. Even though they have an excellent record to start the year, it is clear we are not looking at the same Chiefs steam that has dominated the AFC for years. Patrick Mahomes has had a decent start to the year as he has thrown for over 1200 yards and ten touchdowns.
The Chiefs’ running game has been a shining light this season as lead rusher Isiah Pacheco has rushed for over 300 yards and three touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball, the Chiefs have been tremendous, as they have given up, on average, 16 points a game. They will look to get a win to further their chances of regaining their Super Bowl title.
The Broncos have had a miserable start to the season as they have a record of 1-4, with the last result being a crushing defeat to the New York Jets. Quarterback Russell Wilson has improved on last year as he has thrown for over 1200 yards and 11 touchdowns. Denver has some great playmakers, such as Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy.
Their ‘achilles heel’ this season has been their defence, as they have given up 36.2 points per game so far this year. Denver will look to build some momentum with a massive win over their division rival.
