NFL Fantasy Football 2025: Start ‘em, Sit ‘em – Week 13

Patrick-Mahomes-Joe-Montana-924x694

Welcome back to Fantasy Football Start ‘em, Sit ‘em – where each week we explore some of my best picks for who should be starting in fantasy managers’ lineups, and who should be sitting the week out.

Bengals WR Tee Higgins took a nasty fall last week and will sit out their Thanksgiving game with a concussion, Saints RB Alvin Kamara sprained his MCL and may miss some time, and Bucs QB Baker Mayfield is dealing with a sprained AC joint in his left shoulder.

Luckily, there are no byes in week 13, so fantasy managers will have plenty of options as the playoffs approach.

Per usual, let’s take a look at what we’ve got left to work with this week.

Ian’s Record: 53-41

Start ’em

Patrick Mahomes (QB, Chiefs) at Cowboys

Dallas continues to be terrible against QBs and WRs (most fantasy points allowed to both positions), and KC just muscled through a desperately needed win against the Colts. Mahomes will keep it coming on Thanksgiving.

Joe Burrow (QB, Bengals) at Ravens

Baltimore’s defense is battered and bruised, and the stage will be monumental for Burrow’s return. He’ll be without Tee Higgins, but this is a huge volume game script where he’ll have Ja’Marr Chase back and other weapons.

TreVeyon Henderson (RB, Patriots) vs Giants

Come back with him this week as he faces a horrendous Giants run defense. Their front seven is allowing 6.24 yards a carry on the season, and the volume is still there for Tre.

Kyren Williams (RB, Rams) at Panthers

The script wasn’t in his favor against a weak Tampa secondary, but the Panthers will be coming off a short week and are still bad against the run. He’ll run in for one as the Rams coast here.

Darnell Mooney (WR, Falcons) at Jets

He’s the go-to guy for Kirk while Drake London is sidelined, and he should be able to create some big plays like last week since Sauce Gardner doesn’t lurk in that Jets secondary anymore.

Sit ’em

Jauan Jennings (WR, 49ers) at Browns

Brock Purdy struggled heavily against Carolina with his very limited options, and the Browns have only allowed two touchdowns to wide receivers in their last six games. Kittle will be the go-to guy again.

Commanders WRs vs Broncos

With Jayden Daniels still out and Terry McLaurin still banged up, it’s tough to trust Marcus Mariota in primetime against arguably the league’s best secondary. Remember what I just said about the Browns’ last six games? Denver has only allowed two touchdowns to wide receivers ALL SEASON: Jordan Tolbert in garbage time week 8 and Keenan Allen in week 3.

Daniel Jones (QB, Colts) vs Texans

Houston was all over Josh Allen last Thursday (8 sacks), and they’re making a serious push for the AFC South amid a three-game win streak. I’d be shocked to see DJ go over 250 in this one as Shane Steichen will probably lean on Jonathan Taylor.

Vikings RBs at Seahawks

Minnesota is a mess right now amid a three-game skid and the woes of J.J. McCarthy. Jordan Mason and Aaron Jones also just have a weird split that rely on TDs to be FLEX worthy, which shouldn’t happen against this nasty Seahawks defense.

Dallas Goedert (TE, Eagles) vs Bears

He’s been too quiet since the bye as AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith are back to dominating targets – plus the Bears cover the position well in general.
