The Los Angeles Chargers have fired head coach Brandon Staley and general manager Tom Telesco, the club announced on Friday.

The decision comes after the historic 63-21 defeat to the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday Night Football in Week 15, the most points ever allowed by the team, which has left LA with a 5-9 record for the 2023 season.

Staley, who had an overall record of 24-25, is the third NFL coach to be fired so far this season, joining Josh McDaniels of the Raiders and the Panthers’ Frank Reich. Telesco had been the general manager since 2013.

Outside linebackers coach Giff Smith has been interim head coach for the remainder of the year, and JoJo Wooden is stepping in as interim general manager.
