Could the Tua-Tyreek connection become the most electrifying in the NFL?

As the NFL regular season approaches, Dolphins fans continue to wonder how far they will do in 2022. And one question that has been looming during training camp is just how well Tua and Tyreek will work together.

I believe that the duo will be just fine. Tyreek is an All-Pro receiver and Tua Tagovailoa is a developing superstar. While they haven’t taken an official snap together, there have been flashes in training camp that have shown the connection between the two.

If you ask me, they look a pretty electric duo in my eyes. It doesn’t matter that this is just in practice. Building up the reps during camp will only lead to more electric plays between the two in the games that count.

Why Tyreek Hill is so unique

Everyone already knows how talented Tyreek Hill is. He’s the most electric receiver in all of football. And it is not up for debate. The six-time Pro Bowl receiver finished with 111 receptions, 1239 yards, and 9 touchdowns in 2021, while being double-teamed nearly the entire year. Tyreek changed the game with the Chiefs.

He instilled fear in opposing defenses, no matter what they did Hill still found a way to get open. Hill also created opportunities for the rest of the Kansas City offense, being that opposition defenders were on their toes nearly every play. The space Hill created allowed other receivers to get open or jump-start the run game in the process.

Now Tyreek looks to terrorize opposing defenses in a Dolphins uniform.

Can this help Tua in 2022?

Last year Tua Tagovailoa finished with 16 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Below par. But the stats don’t do him enough justice.

Towards the backend of the season when he returned from injury, his play was borderline spectacular. The Dolphins had a horrid start but when Tua came back, they gave themselves a chance to make the playoffs in spectacular fashion.

Tua showcased during their win streak last year that he has that dog in him, he’s not the type of player to just lay down and give the season up.

As such, Tua even received massive praise from Hill, who said during camp: “Obviously, like I’m gonna go with Mahomes as the strongest arm but as far as accuracy-wise, I’m going with Tua all day. “I want it to hit me right in the breadbasket, just like I did in the Buffalo Bills game, and take it 70”.

Being that the two have only played with each other for a couple of months, it’s interesting to hear that Hill views Tua as the most accurate quarterback he has played with.

The combination of Tua and Tyreek will push the Dolphins close to the playoffs this season. The number of deep balls that will be displayed between the two will be a sight to see. So get ready to watch the most electric QB-WR tandem in all of football.
