ITV announces three-year partnership with the NFL

The NFL has a new free-to-air television home in the UK and Ireland, following a move from the BBC to ITV.

As part of a three-year deal, ITV will show the three London Games over the course of the 2022 season, as well as Super Bowl LVII in February. Coverage will also include hour-long weekly shows fronted by sports presenter Laura Woods.

The deal ends a seven-year run of the NFL on the BBC, with presenters Jason Bell and Osi Umenyiora also leaving to join Woods on the new show.

It marks the first time since 2007 that ITV has broadcast NFL games. The network televised three consecutive Super Bowls in the UK, finishing with Super Bowl XLI.

The weekly ITV show will focus on providing NFL fans with an update on everything going on from across the league heading into each of the weekend games.

ITV’s NFL programme will also be broadcast on STV in Scotland and Virgin Media in Ireland, while all programming will be available on demand on ITV Hub, ITV Hub+, STV Player and VM Player.
