Jalen Hurts becomes highest paid player in NFL history

The Philadelphia Eagles and quarterback Jalen Hurts have reached agreement on a five-year contract after a breakout season in 2022, in a deal which makes the start QB the highest annually paid player in NFL history.

The extension is worth a huge $255 million, including $179.304 million guaranteed and includes a no-trade clause, a first in Eagles’ history.

It means Hurts will be making around $51 million a year, overtaking Aaron Rodgers’ contract with the Packers which he signed in 2022. The deal is believed to be the largest deal completed by a female agent in sports history, as negotiated by Nicole Lynn of Klutch Sports Group and Eagles’ general manager Howie Roseman.
