Marquise Brown arrested for criminal speeding

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Arizona Cardinals’ WR Marquise Brown was arrested and charged with criminal speeding on Wednesday morning. 

According to local reports, Brown was arrested after reportedly going over 120 MPH at 7:05 a.m. in North Phoenix and booked in the Maricopa County Jail in Arizona.

According to the crime of “Criminal Speeding” in Arizona law, it’s defined in three different ways: Exceeding 85 MPH, exceeding the posted speed limit by 20 MPH, or exceeding 35 MPH approaching a school zone.

Brown was traded from the Baltimore Ravens to the Cardinals on the opening night of the 2021 NFL Draft. Baltimore traded the 100th pick to the Arizona Cardinals for pick number 23 and the former first round receiver.

Marquise Brown 2021 stats: 91 receptions, 1,008 receiving yards, 6 receiving touchdowns. He’s supposed to be the Arizona Cardinals WR1 while star DeAndre Hopkins is serving a 6 games suspension by the NFL due to suspected PED use. Not a great start so far for Marquise Brown.
