Seahawks WR DK Metcalf Balls Out in NBA All-Star Celebrity Game

With the NBA All-Star week finally kicking off, the celebrity game was the first of many events to happen. Last night Team Dwayne vs Team Ryan was the talk of the town, with celebrities from all backgrounds and careers were going head to head.

Mike “The Miz” Mizanin drilling a half court shot that would’ve sent the game into overtime but was overturned after further review certainly got the crowd going to start.

One man who really caught the eye though was Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf. Appearing alongside famous stars, such as Marvel actor Simu Liu of “Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”, “Glass Onion: a Knives Out Story” actress Janelle Monae, rapper 21 Savage and even future Hall of Fame wide receiver Calvin Johnson, Metcalf stole the show.

He was the runaway MVP of the game after Team Dwayne defeated Team Ryan 81-78, where Metcalf recorded 20 points and 10 rebounds, giving himself a double-double. On top of an amazing MVP game, he even dunked during the game multiple times after fans debated on whether the viral twitter video was fake or not. 

Metcalf wowed fans with a number of finishes above the rim along with some highlight-worthy blocks, which isn’t something we have seen in many celebrity games over the years. 

DK Metcalf plays a huge role for the Seattle Seahawks, and his athleticism is his greatest attribute, something which was on show for all to see on Friday night. He even put aside his rivalry with the LA Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey, who just got a card in NBA 2K23 for their special MyTeam crossover event.

Alongside Ramsey, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and 49ers receiver Deebo Samuel have MyTeam cards; will DK Metcalf be next? He more than deserves, particularly after footage of him leaping so far into the air emerged, when catching a pass. It is absolutely mind-blowing!

Having Metcalf in an all-NFL squad in NBA 2K23 would be sensational. DK vs. LeBron James in a shootout of the century!
