NFL suspends players for gambling
The National Football League has suspended five players for breaking gambling restrictions throughout the 2022 season.
Detroit’s Quintez Cephus, CJ Moore, Stanley Berryhill, Jameson Williams, and Washington’s Shaka Toney have all been suspended for the games during 2023 season, some bans more severe than others.
Cephus, Moore, and Toney have all been suspended indefinitely through to at least the conclusion of the 2023 season, while Jameson Williams and Stanley Berryhill are suspended for the first six games of the Lions’ regular season games.
The NFL is just coming off of a suspension due to gambling with Calvin Ridley who is now eligible to play after missing the whole 2022 season. Ridley was Atlanta’s top wide receiver until he was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars last November, and is now coming off his year long suspension.
