NFL Week Nine Star Performers

There were more big shocks and some even bigger performances in Week Five. But who were you most impressed by this week? Let’s check out of stars…

CJ Stroud

After the Houston Texans came back from the brink of defeat against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a lot of attention has been drawn to the performance of their star QB CJ Stroud, who put up record numbers in a dominant display.

Five touchdowns, 470 passing yards, hitting seven receivers with three hitting over 100 yards, are outrageous stats for any player, but for a player in his first year in the NFL is unbelievable. The Texans have found themselves a gem of a player, even if he was drafted second overall, and he’s already playing like a top-10 quarterback in the league.

Joe Burrow also had a great weekend, but breaking a rookie record for the most passing yards in a game doesn’t happen every week. No doubt, Stroud is a deserved winner.

Maxx Crosby

After a turbulent week for Las Vegas, the Raiders were certainly angry going into Week Nine, and they absolutely took that frustration out on the Giants, with a devastating win over the New York side.

Crosby was dominant from start to finish this weekend. He record six tackles, two assists, a hat-trick of sacks, including one for a loss of 10 yards.

He might not win the Defensive Player of the Year for 2023, but no doubt that Crosby is one of the best defenders in football at the moment.

Kenny Moore II

Moore was the difference for the Indianapolis Colts in their win over the Carolina Panthers, turning a pair of interceptions into two touchdowns of his own, including a 66-yard score. Bryce Young was starting to look decent with his team leading 3-13, but Moore stepped up and halted the progress they were making.

Moore now sits on three picks for the season.
