Five Players Who Will Make First Pro Bowl in 2022

The Pro Bowl is a game which hosts the best NFL players to play against each other. This is generally where players get recognition for their talents.

However the Pro Bowl is not a definite show of the best players in the league. There are some biases for the way players are selected.

Nevertheless, here are five players who may finally get the public recognition they deserve in 2022.

A.J. Terrell – Cornerback, Atlanta Falcons

The young cornerback for the Atlanta Falcons was a lockdown defender in 2021. He has become one of the best young players on defence in the entire league.

Last season Terrell was selected for second team All-Pro. But surprisingly not seen in the Pro Bowl. Whilst being an All-Pro player is a higher honour, it is important for players to get recognition from the fans.

If Terrell continues to improve heading into his third season in Atlanta he should be in the mix for a pro bowl starting spot.

Patrick Surtain II – Cornerback, Denver Broncos

Sticking with the cornerback position, another young star can be found in Denver. Surtain is only heading into his second year but is already highly regarded.

Some already have him top 10. Even higher than All-Pro A.J. Terrell who was just spoken about.

The young CB also has the benefit of Russell Wilson being the new QB for the Broncos. The team should be a lot more competitive in 2022. And Surtain will get the recognition he deserves for his talents.

Surtain is likely to improve even further after a full off-season and a year of experience in the NFL. Expect to see him not only compete for a Pro Bowl spo. But an All-Pro spot too.

Amon-Ra St. Brown – Wide Receiver, Detroit Lions

Being a young player in the NFL makes it hard to get recognition from the public. This is even more difficult when playing for the Lions.

In 2021 Amon-Ra St. Brown had 912 yards and 5 TDs. This was all done in his rookie season too. Yet he didn’t even sniff the Pro Bowl. He wasn’t even on the all-rookie team either. It’s almost like he went unnoticed in 2021.

St. Brown clearly has a lot of potential. It is just a matter of putting up numbers that get noticed by the entire league.

As his relationship develops with QB Jared Goff heading into their second season together, it is possible that the WR will be selected for the Pro Bowl.

Detroit have a good one on their hands.

Garett Bolles – Offensive Tackle, Denver Broncos

Another Bronco to make the list. But this time on the offensive side of the ball.

Garett Bolles had a tough start to his career and was consistently poor on the OL. But he has turned a corner since 2020 and is now a premier tackle in the NFL.

These stats are not found in any ordinary tackle. Garett Bolles is truly a top tier lineman.

Similarly to A.J. Terrell, Bolles has All-Pro team honours before being chosen for a Pro Bowl.

Now that he is in his prime and will be blocking an elite QB the fans should finally start to recognise his play.

De’Vondre Campbell – Linebacker, Green Bay Packers

The final player on this list was a first team All-Pro player in 2021. However, he is yet to make an appearance at the Pro Bowl. This is becoming a trend on this list.

In his first season with the Packers Campbell amounted 146 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and 2 interceptions. This is very high-level production all around.

But he is still not getting the respect he deserves. At least he believes in himself.

If the production continues into the 2022 season there is no doubt he will start to turn heads.

Players like De’Vondre Campbell deserve to be in the Pro Bowl.
