Seahawks’ Chris Carson NFL career over after neck injury
The Seattle Seahawks are officially releasing RB Chris Carson due to failing a physical based on a neck injury. With the injury being so serious for Carson since last year, after being sidelined for the rest of the 2021-2022 NFL season since week 4, he’s decided to call his NFL career quits after five seasons with the Seattle Seahawks.
Born in Biloxi, Mississippi on September 16th, 1994. Chris Carson has officially retired from professional football at the age of 27 years old.
In the beginning, Chris Carson played at Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kansas before transferring to Oklahoma State University in 2015 under then head coach, Mike Gundy. Chris Carson during his two years at Oklahoma State University had gained over 1,076 rushing yards and 13 rushing touchdowns.
Selected in the 7th round at 249th overall by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2017 NFL Draft, Chris Carson earned 3,502 rushing yards, 804 receiving yards, and 31 total touchdowns during his illustrious NFL career.
Under NFL’s new CBA rules, Chris Carson will be able to head into retirement with some great news, receiving millions of dollars due to injury protection benefits from the Seattle Seahawks organization to help out. Much deserved for the Seahawks team legend!
