The Pittsburgh Steelers have fired offensive coordinator Matt Canada, announced in a statement from head coach Mike Tomlin on Tuesday.

It comes following the Week 11 defeat to divisional rivals the Cleveland Browns, in which the Steelers were restricted to just 10 points.

The pressure has been mounting on Canada for a while. Second-year quarterback Kenny Pickett has struggled to develop in 2023, with the side averaging just 16.6 points a game this year (which ranks 28th in the league). They also rank 31st in passing yards per game, averaging a tiny 170.

The Steelers are now looking for a replacement, ahead of another AFC North matchup this weekend against the Cincinnati Bengals. More to follow.
