From Deshaun Watson joining the Cleveland Browns to Matt Ryan being traded to the Indianapolis Colts, the last few months in the NFL have been wild. In a offseason full of trades and eye popping rumors, the football world is still wondering as to know where will Jimmy Garoppolo go to this offseason?

From just one game away from heading to a second Super Bowl in his illustrious career, Jimmy Garoppolo has been a consistently good quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers since joining in 2017. With 31 career wins under his belt as the starting QB for the 49ers, it’s clear to say that football teams admire the veteran quarterback’s will to win games while under pressure.

But it’s clear that San Francisco is looking to trade Garoppolo since acquiring Trey Lance with the 3rd overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft. 49ers want to go young and mobile at QB. And Jimmy Garoppolo had to play the mentor role, knowing that his time with the 49ers was soon coming to an end.

In his last season with the San Francisco 49ers, Jimmy Garoppolo put up 3,018 passing yards, 20 touchdowns, 12 interceptions, and a passer rating of 98.7%, it’s clear that the man himself, Jimmy G, is a NFL quarterback, despite all the behind the scenes drama with him likely playing his last year with the organization.

With that being said, let’s see what NFL teams would benefit from a proven winner like Jimmy Garoppolo and how his growing market around NFL circles can play a role in him becoming an elite NFL quarterback under the right circumstances.

1. Washington Commanders

After locking a 3-year extension with star WR “Scary” Terry Mclaurin, Jimmy Garoppolo would find himself elated to have a young star to throw to. After having a star-studded cast with George Kittle & Deebo Samuel, You would get a huge boost having Scary Terry to throw to on any Sunday night.

McLaurin led Washington football in receiving in each of his last three seasons. Coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons despite catching passes from eight different starting quarterbacks, it’s clear that Jimmy G would love playing with a WR of his elite skill-set.

2. Cleveland Browns

In a world of uncertainty dealing with the Deshaun Watson saga recently, the Cleveland Browns should be looking at options just in case the team are unable to have their star QB playing a good chunk of the NFL season.

On a revamped offense with a new WR1 in Amari Cooper, the Cleveland football franchise is ready and able to make a deep postseason run. With a winning QB like Jimmy Garoppolo, he has his best chance of winning a Super Bowl with an amazing Cleveland Browns roster.

With weapons like Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt, Wyatt Teller, Amari Cooper, Joel Bitonio, and more, Jimmy Garoppolo is put into the most perfect fit and scheme of his NFL career if he landed in Cleveland, Ohio.

3. Seattle Seahawks

After losing superstar QB Russell Wilson, the future of Seattle’s football team is uncertain at QB, which is the perfect reason to get Jimmy Garoppolo.

In the NFC West, the same division as the San Francisco 49ers, acquiring Jimmy Garoppolo is huge to gain an advantage over other competition in that division. Also giving Jimmy Garoppolo a weapon WRs like DK Metcalf & Tyler Lockett is a treat as well.

Only two teams in the NFL had two wide receivers top 1,000 yards last season: the Seattle Seahawks and the Carolina Panthers. Over DK Metcalf’s three seasons on the Seattle Seahawks, Metcalf has 216 catches, 358 targets, 3,170 yards and 29 touchdowns. Tyler Lockett also made 73 catches, 1175 receiving yards, and 8 touchdowns for last season.

All in all, Jimmy Garoppolo would be walking into prime position if he went to Seattle.
