Two-time Super Bowl winner Danny Amendola Retires from the NFL

On July 25th, 13 year veteran & NFL wide receiver Danny Amendola decided to retire from the National Football League despite multiple teams being interested in signing him during this hectic NFL offseason.

Despite being undrafted in the 2008 NFL Draft, Danny Amendola has played for 5 NFL teams during his illustrious 13 year NFL career: St Louis Rams, Miami Dolphins, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, and most notably, The New England Patriots.

Amendola, who is now 36 years old, ends his amazing NFL career as a 2x Super Bowl champion with the New England Patriots, having 6,212 receiving yards, 5,450 kick return yards, and 26 career touchdowns during his time in the National Football League. 

“It was better than I could have ever imagined,” Amendola stated about his unbelievable journey during his NFL career. 

According to ESPN reporter Adam Schefter, “Amendola is ready to pursue various other interests, including having initial talks with broadcasting networks.”
