Who needs to bounce back in NFL Week 11?

Week 10 is in the books. We saw some teams step up when it was needed most. We saw others who faltered and are now facing an uphill battle. Who features on the bounce back this week? Let’s find out.

1. Josh Allen

Allen and the Buffalo Bills are having a tough old time just now. They lost in horrific fashion to the Broncos and they continue to be their own worst enemy. Allen at the present moment is trying too hard to change their trajectory and it is difficult to watch at times.

Allen is so talented and we know how capable he is, but his all out style of play leads to either a spectacular display or an error lead display. The latter is where he is right now and my concern is he just keeps trying too much and ends up costing his team the chance of winning games.

Their OC Ken Dorsey lost his job on the back of the loss and I’m hopeful that might lead to a change in Allen’s approach. This season is unlikely to finish well, especially considering the opposition they have to face over the next 5 weeks. The Bills need a reset.

2. Baltimore Ravens

It’s tough seeing the Baltimore Ravens added to the bounce back but they did lose a sizable lead in the 4th quarter to the Browns. The fashion in which they gave the game away, is the reason they are featured on the list this week. They have a quick turnaround to play on Thursday night football and they have a showdown with the Bengals who need to bounce back too.

This will not be an easy game for Baltimore and it’s likely to be a close one. The worry or concern is that the Ravens are still finding their way around how to win close games. Their wins this season tend to be dominant displays where they are relentless and build up massive leads. I believe they can win close games, they just need that first one. This might be that very game.

3. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars had an opportunity against the 49ers to showcase why they are true contenders to win it all this year. Sadly it all went horribly wrong as they were dominated from the get go. Defensively they couldn’t stop the 49ers. Purdy and co could do as they pleased and the Jags defense have been sneakily good all year up until this loss. The offense was bullied by the 49ers defense.

San Francisco came into this game with a fresh approach and Jacksonville were not ready for it, it was a sloppy performance and it does concern me. 4 turnovers, no run game which was a real surprise and Lawrence got sacked far too much. It was also another quiet display from Ridley, who isn’t quite lighting it up as many of us thought he would. They need to get him rolling again and that would take the offense to a whole new level.

4. Brian Daboll

Daboll looked like a genius last year as he turned around the New York Giants and took them to the playoffs. That success is coming back to haunt him this year. The Giants are one of the most disappointing teams in the league and also one of the toughest to watch.

They endured another heavy loss in week 10 and Daboll has to be feeling the pressure now. Last year is almost forgotten now and I believe he is coaching for his future in week 11, where the Giants face divisional rivals the Commanders. He needs to find a way somehow to get a

result, because if they suffer another loss in similar fashion to some of their recents ones, then it is very possible that he is relieved of his duties. He needs to buy himself some time and that starts now.

5. Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers played their part in what was an electric game at SoFi Stadium against the Lions. When you score 39 points at home and lose, it’s a tough pill to swallow. Head Coach Brandon Staley has taken ownership of the loss which is admirable of him, but his defensive players need to take some of the accountability too.

The defense has been trending in the right direction and putting in some solid performances of late, but they couldn’t stop the Lions explosive offense. The Lions run game had their way with the Chargers and Goff was able to get back into his groove against them too. They face the Green Bay Packers and that is a generous match up for L.A to bounce back in.

The Packers have been disappointing and if the Chargers want to keep their hopes alive, then they must win this one. Defeat to Green Bay would more than likely make it too much for them to overcome if they want a spot in the playoffs. I mentioned there that the Packers have been disappointing, you would have to describe the Chargers in a very similar way.

Week 11 is here and there are a couple of candidates that I certainly wasn’t expecting to see. But the league is so open currently and anyone can beat anyone. The question is, can the above candidates bounce back? We don’t have long to wait to find out.
