Who needs to bounce back in NFL Week 14?

This week we are going to go with 4 candidates rather than the normal 5 we tend to see. Week 13 didn’t disappoint and it has set us up perfectly for the matchups in week 14.

1. New Orleans Saints

The Saints lost out to the Lions in what was a very entertaining game. They also lose their QB Derek Carr, who enters the concussion protocol yet again and this time will see him have a longer stint on the side lines, leaving the door open for Winston to start at QB against the Panthers.

Carr, along with the entire Saints team, have been disappointing this season, but they are in a division where no one seems to want to win it. Winston is a fan favourite and he has a chance to maybe earn the starting job for the rest of the season and maybe, just maybe could lead the Saints to a playoff game. But that only happens with a win this weekend.

But, more than a win, can the Saints win well? Go out there and show that you are a good team. It’s a big game for the Saints but they should bounce back.

2. Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs Super Bowl reign is well-and-truly in trouble. faced a red hot Packers side who won well against them. Now there might have been some questionable refereeing calls, but take nothing away from the Packers who were the better team.

Now Kansas faces a well known opponent in the Bills and this game is setting up to be quite the cracker. The Chiefs are going to the playoffs, but the Bills aren’t in the same secure spot, so this game is huge for Buffalo and they will be desperate to win this one by any means necessary. The last thing the Chiefs want is to lose back to back games, in the build up to the playoffs.

Momentum is so big and a win gets them back on the right track, but a loss just makes things tougher and it will knock their confidence if it happens. Massive game for both sides, Kansas would love a positive result and performance in this one.

3. Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles got blown away by the 49ers, much like their opponents this week, the Cowboys, did when they faced the 49ers earlier in the season. The Cowboys at home are a force to be reckoned with and the Eagles will be feeling the pressure to keep their hands firmly on the #1 seed.

This game will be edgy in parts, because both sides need the win for very different reasons. My concern for Philly is that they aren’t firing on all cylinders and they now face Dallas who are full of confidence and putting up 40+ points for fun. I can’t see the Eagles winning this in good fashion, but if they can make it scrappy and keep it tight, then they can certainly bounce back.

The Eagles are in a really tough stretch just now and back to back losses will hurt their credentials.

4. Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks may have the hardest task of them all in week 14. They face the 49ers, who in their current form, look incredibly tough to beat. However, the Seahawks made the Cowboys scrape for their win in what was one of the games of the week. Seattle got D.K going in that loss and that is someone they need to keep going too. When D.K is on form and the ball is going to him consistently, he can be a game changer and against the 49ers you need a game changer.

Seattle showed they can put points up against a top defense and now they get to test their metal against another one. Now it will take something special to win this game, but if they don’t, I’d love to see them make the 49ers work for it, just like they made Dallas do. I’m all in on D.K after his performance in week 13 and I’m just hoping as a fan, to see that continue into this week. If it does, we are being set up for a real treat in this one. This has the potential to be a very memorable game.

Four candidates are on the table now and for some of the teams, this really is crunch time. We will find out a lot about each of them after this week is in the bag, we will know if some of these teams have the desire to dig really really deep in order to keep pushing forward. It’s going to be a good one.
