Former Seahawks and Ravens star Alex Collins dies aged 28
Former Baltimore Ravens and Seattle Seahawks running back Alex Collins has tragically died at the age of 28.
He was killed in a motorcycle accident in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
After being drafted by the Seahawks as a fifth-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, Collins played 25 games for both the Ravens and Seahawks between 2016 and 2021, scoring 19 touchdowns and running for 1,997 yards.
Though he began and ended his playing days with the Seahawks (2016, 2020-2021), Collins’ best season was had with the Ravens, where he ran for a career-best 973 yards and six touchdowns in 2017 to lead the Baltimore rushing attack.
The NFL released a statement Monday, along with the Ravens and Seahawks, in condolence to the tragic news.
