The Indianapolis Colts have given All-Pro running back Jonathan Taylor permission to seek a trade.

After being denied a contract extension before training camp, Taylor requested a trade as his relationship with the team began to sour, yet Colts owner Jim Irsay publicly denied his star player the trade request.

But this news means the marriage seems beyond repair, and other teams from across the league will now be weighing whether to make an offer for a player who led the NFL in rushing in 2021 and has 3,841 rushing yards in his first three NFL seasons.

The Colts will be looking to a acquire a first-round draft pick or multiple draft picks that would be the equivalent of a first-rounder for Taylor’s services. The player will be an unrestricted free agent following this season.
