Jalen Hurts ran for a late touchdown to save Philadelphia from back-to-back defeats as the Eagles overcame the resilient Colts to move to 9-1 in Week Eleven.

Coming off their first defeat of the season against the Washington Commanders on Monday, Hurts scored inside the final two minutes to help his team to a 17-16 win.

Indianapolis never trailed until Hurts’ scoring run, but defeat hands interim head coach Jeff Saturday his first defeat at the helm for the Colts, after beating the Las Vegas on debut.

Cowboys crush Vikings as defenses dominate

The Dallas Cowboys continued to move into real contention in the NFC as they thrashed the Minnesota Vikings 40-3 at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Micah Parsons and the Dallas defense swarmed Kirk Cousins all game, handing the Vikings their second largest home loss in franchise history.

It was a weekend where defenses seemed to dominate, with many offenses struggling to put up points. Infact before a number of frantic late finishes, it seemed like Week 11 was on course to be an incredible low scoring weekend.

The game between the New England Patriots and New York Jets was tied at 3-3 heading into the final minute of the fourth quarter.

Both defenses, particularly New York’s played very well, but it was a shocking day at the office for Zach Wilson, who passed for just 77 yards going 9 for 22. New England’s Marcus Jones’ 84 punt return TD with just five seconds left, rubbing salt into the wounds to Gang Green.

The Jets may have now lost 14 straight games to the Patriots. But it is hard to think of many which will have hurt New York as much as this defeat. And there will be some real question marks over Wilson’s future over that performance.

Both teams sit 6-4 in the AFC East, while the Buffalo Bills moved to 7-3 after overcoming a change of venue for their home game to beat the Cleveland Browns.

The game was moved to Detroit following a snowstorm in Buffalo, but that didn’t stop Josh Allen leading his side to a 31-23 victory.

Mahomes MVP frontrunner?

Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce combined for three touchdowns as the Kansas City Chiefs edged divisional rivals the Los Angeles Chargers in a 30-27 to stay top of the AFC West.

Mahomes, who completed 20 of 34 passes for 329 yards, is now the odds-on favourite to claim the MVP award for this season after another fine performance. Rookie Isiah Pacheco also rushed for his first 100+ yard game in the Chiefs victory.

Washington Commanders maintained their impressive form by winning their fifth straight game, in a dominant 23-10 success of the Houston Texans. Their NFC East rivals the New York Giants took a blow to their playoff prospects, with a worrying 31-18 defeat to the Detroit Lions at MetLife Stadium.

Justin Fields’ impressive form couldn’t help the Chicago Bears to victory over the Atlanta Falcons, as Cordarelle Patterson set a new NFL record with his ninth career kick-off return touchdown to help his team to a 24-27 victory.

Fields, who tied Kyler Murray for the most consecutive games with a passing and rushing touchdown in the Super Bowl era (5), couldn’t lead his time to a late comeback, throwing an interception on Chicago’s final drive.

There were also wins for the Ravens, Raiders, Saints and Bengals on Sunday.
