Odell Beckham joins Baltimore Ravens on one-year deal
Star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has agreed to terms with the Baltimore Ravens on one-year deal, worth up to $18 million.
The deal includes a $13.835 million signing bonus, $1.165 million base salary and $3 million in reachable incentives. The veteran will make at least $15 million and as much as $18 million.
It ends months of speculation over Beckham’s future, having spent the entire 2022 season as a free agent, recovering from a torn ACL that he suffered while helping the Los Angeles Rams win Super Bowl LVI.
The Super Bowl champion had several potential suitors vying for his signature, with the New York Jets and Dallas Cowboys also said to be interested.
Eye brows have been raised about the amount Beckham will earn in the deal, particularly given that he didn’t play a single snap in the NFL in 2022.
But it does give the Ravens a much needed option at wide receiver, and gives Lamar Jackson a decent incentive to stick around in Baltimore.
Beckham has been one of the NFL’s premier names since he entered the league in 2014, making headlines with the Giants, Browns, and Rams, racking up 7,367 yards and 56 touchdowns since then. He also averages 13.9 yards per reception, and at 30, Beckham still has a lot left to offer.
