The Dallas Cowboys are getting some help for their offensive line with the team signing All-Pro offensive lineman Jason Peters.

Peters started his NFL career after going undrafted in the 2004 NFL Draft, eventually being picked up by the Buffalo Bills and starting his first four years in the league for the franchise.

After leaving the Buffalo Bills, Jason Peters created an hall of fame career playing 11 seasons for the Philadelphia Eagles and one year with the Chicago Bears. He’s played a total of 19 years in the National Football League.

The now 40-year-old Peters, a six-time All-Pro, is coming to Dallas to replace another elite offensive lineman in Tyron Smith, who recently suffered a torn hamstring during a team practice on August 25th.

The move for Peters will immediately help the Cowboys at the left tackle position in replacement of Smith.

The deal is a one-year agreement, with Peters joining the Cowboys practice squad and will work his way into the lineup when ready.
