Dolphins’ Jalen Ramsey to undergo meniscus surgery after injury in practice
Miami Dolphins star cornerback Jalen Ramsey is set to miss the start of the 2023 NFL season and will require surgery to treat an injury suffered in practice on Thursday.
The 28-year-old was carted off the field after sustaining the injury, and the surgery is believed to be a meniscus repair but it will be unclear until the procedure begins.
Ramsey tweeted he will “be back on that field strong than ever … in due time!”, adding optimism for being ready for his team’s “end of the season push.”
The setback comes just months after his blockbuster trade to Miami from the Los Angeles Rams, having been a three-time first-team All-Pro selection already in his seven-year career.
Ramsey recorded 88 tackles, four interceptions and 18 passes defended in 2022.
